Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Foxit Reader version 9.5.0.20723
Description
This issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations. User interaction is required, where the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The flaw exists within the processing of fields within Acroform objects due to the lack of validating the existence of an object prior to performing operations on it. An attacker can leverage this to execute code in the context of the current process.
Recommendations
For Foxit Reader version 9.5.0.20723, consider updating to a newer version that addresses this issue, as the current version allows for remote code execution due to the lack of object existence validation in Acroform object processing. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
