CVE-2019-14317

CVSS v3.1

5.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions wolfSSL and wolfCrypt versions 4.1.0 and earlier
Description The issue allows a remote attacker to compute the long term private key from several hundred DSA signatures via a lattice attack. This occurs because the dsa.c file fixes two bits of the generated nonces, leading to biased DSA nonces.
Recommendations For versions 4.1.0 and earlier, consider updating to a version that generates unbiased DSA nonces to prevent lattice attacks. As a temporary workaround, restrict the use of DSA signatures until a patch is available.
