The issue allows unauthorized modification of wireless settings via a confused deputy attack. This is possible due to a pre-installed app with a package name of
com.mediatek.factorymode that can be accessed by any app co-located on the device.Recommendations
For the Kata M4s Android device, consider restricting access to the
com.mediatek.factorymode app to minimize the risk of exploitation. As a temporary workaround, disabling the app's ability to modify wireless settings can help mitigate the issue.
