CVE-2019-5765

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Google Chrome versions prior to 72.0.3626.81
Description The issue is related to an exposed debugging endpoint in the Google Chrome browser on Android. This allowed a local attacker to obtain potentially sensitive information from process memory via a crafted Intent. The vulnerability is also associated with errors in applying access control rules, which could allow an attacker to gain unauthorized access to information.
Recommendations For versions prior to 72.0.3626.81, update to version 72.0.3626.81 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the debugging endpoint until a patch is available. Avoid using crafted Intents in the affected browser version to minimize the risk of exploitation.
