VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Foxit PhantomPDF version 9.5.0.20723
Description This issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations. User interaction is required, where the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The flaw exists within the parsing of DXF files due to the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, resulting in a memory corruption condition. An attacker can leverage this to execute code in the context of the current process.
Recommendations For Foxit PhantomPDF version 9.5.0.20723, consider restricting the parsing of DXF files until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid opening DXF files from untrusted sources to minimize the risk of exploitation.
