Description
The issue allows a low privileged attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise the MySQL Server, resulting in unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some of the MySQL Server accessible data and unauthorized ability to cause a partial denial of service of the MySQL Server. However, according to another source, the vulnerability may allow a high privileged attacker to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash of the MySQL Server.
Recommendations
For versions 5.7.23 and prior, update to a version later than 5.7.23 to resolve the issue.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
