Description The issue is related to a reflected XSS vulnerability. This vulnerability is located in the controller.php file and is associated with the document id parameter. It could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of a user's session.
Recommendations For OpenEMR versions 5.0.1 and earlier, avoid using the document id parameter in the vulnerable controller.php file until a fix is available. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the controller.php file to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
