Description The issue allows for a Denial of Service, causing the application to crash, via image data. This occurs because two bytes are written to the end of the allocated memory without checking if it will cause corruption. The vulnerability is related to the parsing of TIF files in the ConvertToPDF feature.
Recommendations For Foxit Reader versions prior to 9.4, update to version 9.4 or later to resolve the issue. For PhantomPDF versions prior to 9.4, update to version 9.4 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of the ConvertToPDF feature with TIF files until a patch is available.
