Description
An arbitrary memory read issue exists in the KCodes NetUSB.ko kernel module, which is used for the ReadySHARE Printer functionality in certain NETGEAR Nighthawk Routers and potentially other products. This can be triggered by a specially crafted index value, causing an invalid memory read. The impact includes denial of service or remote information disclosure. An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this by sending a crafted packet on the local network.
