CVSS v3.1
6.5
Medium
| Vector | AV:A/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Kea versions 1.4.0 through 1.5.0
Kea version 1.6.0-beta1
Kea version 1.6.0-beta2
Description
A missing check on incoming client requests can cause the Kea server's lease storage to contain invalid leases. When the server restarts and tries to load these leases, it may give up if the number of invalid leases exceeds a hard-coded limit.
Recommendations
For versions 1.4.0 through 1.5.0, update to a version outside of this range to resolve the issue.
For version 1.6.0-beta1, update to a version outside of the beta range to resolve the issue.
For version 1.6.0-beta2, update to a version outside of the beta range to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting incoming client requests to minimize the risk of exploitation.
Fix
Missing Release of Resource after Effective Lifetime
