CVE-2019-2644

CVSS v2.0

7.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Oracle MySQL Server versions 8.0.15 and prior
Description The issue is related to inadequate access control in the MySQL Server component of Oracle MySQL, specifically in the Server: DDL subcomponent. This can be exploited by a remote attacker to cause a denial of service, resulting in the ability to hang or crash the MySQL Server. The vulnerability can be easily exploited by a high-privileged attacker with network access via multiple protocols.
Recommendations For versions 8.0.15 and prior, update to a version that contains a fix for this issue to prevent exploitation. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting network access to the MySQL Server to minimize the risk of exploitation. Restrict access to the Server: DDL subcomponent to minimize the risk of exploitation until a patch is available.
