CVE-2019-2671
CVSS v2.0
8.5
High
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Oracle E-Business Suite versions 12.1.3, 12.2.3, 12.2.4, 12.2.5, 12.2.6, 12.2.7, 12.2.8
Description
The issue is related to inadequate access control in the Oracle CRM Technical Foundation component, specifically in the Preferences subcomponent. This allows an unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle CRM Technical Foundation, potentially leading to unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all accessible data, as well as unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some accessible data. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker and may significantly impact additional products.
Recommendations
For versions 12.1.3, 12.2.3, 12.2.4, 12.2.5, 12.2.6, 12.2.7, 12.2.8, consider restricting access to the Preferences subcomponent until a patch is available.
As a temporary workaround, limit the use of HTTP protocol for remote access to minimize the risk of exploitation.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
