Description
The issue is related to the ISAKMP dissector, which could crash due to a null pointer dereference. This can be exploited by a remote attacker using a specially crafted trace file, potentially leading to a denial of service.
Recommendations
For Wireshark versions 2.4.0 through 2.4.11, update to a version where the ISAKMP dissector is properly fixed.
For Wireshark versions 2.6.0 through 2.6.5, update to a version where the ISAKMP dissector is properly fixed.
As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the ISAKMP dissector until a patch is available.
