CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Wireshark versions 2.4.0 through 2.4.11 Wireshark versions 2.6.0 through 2.6.5
Description The issue is related to the ISAKMP dissector, which could crash due to a null pointer dereference. This can be exploited by a remote attacker using a specially crafted trace file, potentially leading to a denial of service.
Recommendations For Wireshark versions 2.4.0 through 2.4.11, update to a version where the ISAKMP dissector is properly fixed. For Wireshark versions 2.6.0 through 2.6.5, update to a version where the ISAKMP dissector is properly fixed.
