Description The issue is related to an integer underflow in the rdpsnddbg process() function of the rdesktop RDP client, leading to a heap-based buffer overflow. This can cause memory corruption and potentially allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code.
Recommendations For versions up to and including v1.8.3, consider disabling the rdpsnddbg process() function as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
