Description
The issue is related to an integer underflow in the
seamless process() function, leading to a heap-based buffer overflow. This results in memory corruption and potentially allows for remote code execution. The vulnerability can be exploited by a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code.Recommendations
For rdesktop versions up to and including v1.8.3, consider disabling the
seamless process() function as a temporary workaround until a patch is available.
