CVSS v3.1

8.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions CMS Made Simple version 2.2.8
Description An issue was discovered in the DesignManager module, specifically in the files action.admin bulk css.php and action.admin bulk template.php. With an unprivileged user having Designer permission, it is possible to reach an unserialize call with a crafted value in the m1 allparms parameter, achieving object injection.
Recommendations For CMS Made Simple version 2.2.8, consider restricting access to the DesignManager module until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using the m1 allparms parameter in the affected files to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.
