CVE-2019-2597

CVSS v2.0

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools versions 8.55 through 8.57
Description The issue is related to insufficient access controls in the PIA Core Technology subcomponent of PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools, part of Oracle PeopleSoft Products. This can be exploited by a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to modify, add, or delete data using the HTTP protocol. Successful attacks may require interaction from someone other than the attacker and can result in unauthorized access to some data, including the ability to update, insert, or delete data, as well as read access to a subset of the data.
Recommendations For versions 8.55 through 8.57, consider restricting access to the PIA Core Technology subcomponent until a fix is available. As a temporary workaround, limit the use of HTTP protocol interactions with PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
