CVE-2019-2634

CVSS v3.1

7.1

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Oracle MySQL versions 8.0.15 and prior
Description The issue is related to the MySQL Server component, specifically the Server: Replication subcomponent. It allows an unauthenticated attacker with logon to the infrastructure where MySQL Server executes to compromise MySQL Server. Successful attacks can result in the unauthorized ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash (complete DOS) of MySQL Server. The vulnerability is also related to insufficient access control and can be exploited remotely using the MySQL protocol.
Recommendations For versions 8.0.15 and prior, update to a version later than 8.0.15 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting network access to the MySQL Server to minimize the risk of exploitation. Restrict access to the Server: Replication subcomponent to prevent potential attacks.
