CVE-2019-2633
CVSS v3.1
9.9
Critical
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:L |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Oracle E-Business Suite versions 12.1.1 through 12.1.3
Oracle E-Business Suite versions 12.2.3 through 12.2.8
Description
The issue is related to insufficient access control in the Oracle Work in Process component, specifically the Messages subcomponent. This allows a low-privileged attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle Work in Process, resulting in unauthorized access to critical data or all accessible data. The attacker can create, delete, or modify data without proper authorization.
Recommendations
For versions 12.1.1 through 12.1.3, update to a version that includes the necessary security patches.
For versions 12.2.3 through 12.2.8, apply the recommended security fixes to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Messages subcomponent until a patch is available.
Fix
Improper Access Control
