| Vector | AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Android versions Android-10
Description
In OpenCV calls that use libpng, there is a possible out of bounds write due to a missing bounds check. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges required. User interaction is not required for exploitation.
Recommendations
For Android version Android-10, consider restricting access to OpenCV calls that utilize libpng until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, disabling the use of libpng in OpenCV may help minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.
