Description
The issue allows for a XML External Entity Attack. However, the attack requires the attacker to have root or admin access to a protected host that is authorized to communicate with the Deep Security Manager.
Recommendations
For Trend Micro Deep Security Manager versions 10.x through 11.x, consider restricting access to authorized hosts to minimize the risk of exploitation.
For Trend Micro Vulnerability Protection version 2.0, restrict access to the vulnerable module to minimize the risk of exploitation.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
