CVE-2019-1722
CVSS v2.0
7.8
High
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:C/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Cisco Expressway Series and Cisco TelePresence Video Communication Server (VCS) versions prior to X12.5.1
Description
A vulnerability in the FindMe feature could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to conduct a cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attack and perform arbitrary actions on an affected system. The issue is due to insufficient CSRF protections for the web-based management interface. An attacker could exploit this by persuading a user to follow a maliciously crafted link, potentially allowing the attacker to add an attacker-controlled device and redirect calls intended for a specific user.
Recommendations
For versions prior to X12.5.1, update to software version X12.5.1 or later to fix the vulnerability. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the web-based management interface to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the interface from untrusted networks or devices until the issue is resolved.
