| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:H/I:L/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Oracle Fusion Middleware (subcomponent: BI Publisher Security) versions 11.1.1.9.0, 12.2.1.3.0, 12.2.1.4.0
Description
The issue is related to insufficient access control in the BI Publisher Security component, allowing a remote attacker to modify, add, or delete data using the HTTP protocol. Successful attacks may require human interaction and can significantly impact additional products, resulting in unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all accessible data, as well as unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some accessible data.
Recommendations
For versions 11.1.1.9.0, 12.2.1.3.0, and 12.2.1.4.0, consider restricting access to the BI Publisher Security component until a patch is available.
As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the HTTP protocol access to the BI Publisher component to minimize the risk of exploitation.
Restrict access to sensitive data and ensure that only authorized personnel have access to the BI Publisher component.
Fix
Improper Access Control
