CVE-2019-1828

CVSS v3.1

8.1

High

VectorAV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Cisco Small Business RV320 and RV325 Dual Gigabit WAN VPN Routers versions prior to 1.4.2.22
Description A vulnerability in the web-based management interface of the affected routers could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to access administrative credentials. The issue exists due to the use of weak encryption algorithms for user credentials. An attacker could exploit this by conducting a man-in-the-middle attack and decrypting intercepted credentials, potentially gaining access to an affected device with administrator privileges.
Recommendations For versions prior to 1.4.2.22, update the firmware to version 1.4.2.22 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the web-based management interface to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the web-based management interface over unsecured connections until the issue is resolved.
