CVSS v2.0
5.0
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Oracle E-Business Suite versions 12.1.3, 12.2.3, 12.2.4, 12.2.5, 12.2.6, 12.2.7, 12.2.8
Description
The issue is related to insufficient access control in the Oracle CRM Technical Foundation component, specifically in the Preferences subcomponent. It allows an unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle CRM Technical Foundation, requiring human interaction from a person other than the attacker. Successful attacks can result in unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some of Oracle CRM Technical Foundation's accessible data, potentially impacting additional products.
Recommendations
For versions 12.1.3, 12.2.3, 12.2.4, 12.2.5, 12.2.6, 12.2.7, 12.2.8, consider restricting access to the Preferences subcomponent until a fix is available.
As a temporary workaround, limit the use of HTTP protocol for remote access to minimize the risk of exploitation.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
