CVE-2019-2878

CVSS v2.0

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Sun ZFS Storage Appliance Kit (AK) version 8.8.3
Description The issue is related to inadequate access control in the HTTP data path subsystems of the Sun ZFS Storage Appliance Kit (AK) component. This allows an unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise the system. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker and may significantly impact additional products. The attacks can result in unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some of the accessible data, as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of the accessible data.
Recommendations For version 8.8.3, consider restricting access to the HTTP data path subsystems until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, limit the use of the affected component to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
