CVE-2018-19362

CVSS v2.0

10

Critical

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions FasterXML jackson-databind versions 2.x before 2.9.8
Description The issue is related to the FasterXML Java library for parsing JSON files, jackson-databind, and its failure to block the jboss-common-core class from polymorphic deserialization. This could allow a remote attacker to impact data integrity, access confidential data, and cause a denial of service.
Recommendations For versions 2.x before 2.9.8, update to version 2.9.8 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of the jboss-common-core class to minimize the risk of exploitation.
