Description
The issue is related to improper validation of Advanced Recording Format (ARF) and Webex Recording Format (WRF) files, which could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code on an affected system. This can be achieved by sending a malicious ARF or WRF file to a user through a link or email attachment and persuading the user to open the file with the affected software. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary code with the privileges of the targeted user. The vulnerability is also described as a buffer overflow issue in memory, which can be exploited by sending a specially crafted ARF or WRF file.
