CVE-2019-1194

CVSS v2.0

7.6

High

VectorAV:N/AC:H/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Internet Explorer (affected versions not specified)
Description A remote code execution issue exists due to the way the scripting engine handles objects in memory. This could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current user, potentially gaining the same user rights as the current user. If the current user has administrative rights, the attacker could take control of the affected system, enabling them to install programs, view, change, or delete data, or create new accounts with full user rights. The vulnerability can be exploited through a web-based attack scenario, where an attacker hosts a specially crafted website designed to exploit the issue through Internet Explorer, or by embedding an ActiveX control in an application or Microsoft Office document. Compromised websites or those that host user-provided content could also contain specially crafted content to exploit the issue.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
