Description The issue is related to a malicious DLL preload vulnerability and insufficient access control in the FortiClientOnlineInstaller.exe executable. This allows a privileged attacker to perform arbitrary code execution by forging a DLL file or using a specially crafted DLL file.

Recommendations For Fortinet FortiClient for Windows versions 6.2.0 and below, consider disabling the execution of the FortiClientOnlineInstaller.exe file until a patch is available. Restrict access to the FortiClient installation directory to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the FortiClientOnlineInstaller.exe file for installation until the issue is resolved.
