Description
The issue is related to the presence of empty password hashes for the root and user accounts in the /etc/passwd file of the Cisco Small Business series 250, 350, 350X, 550X router firmware. This could allow a remote attacker to elevate their privileges to the root level.

For Cisco Small Business series 250, 350, 350X, 550X, consider changing the default passwords for the root and user accounts to secure passwords as a temporary mitigation measure.
