CVE-2019-9937

CVSS v2.0

7.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions SQLite version 3.27.2
Description The issue is related to a NULL Pointer Dereference in the fts5 virtual table when interleaving reads and writes in a single transaction. This is associated with the ext/fts5/fts5 hash.c and ext/fts5/fts5 index.c components of the SQLite database management system. Exploitation of this issue may allow a remote attacker to cause a denial of service.
Recommendations For SQLite version 3.27.2, consider avoiding the use of fts5 virtual tables with interleaved reads and writes in a single transaction until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, restrict access to the fts5 components to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
