Description A vulnerability in the Oracle VM VirtualBox product allows a low-privileged attacker with logon to the infrastructure where Oracle VM VirtualBox executes to compromise Oracle VM VirtualBox. Although the vulnerability is in Oracle VM VirtualBox, attacks may significantly impact additional products. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in takeover of Oracle VM VirtualBox. The issue is related to inadequate access control in the Core component.

Recommendations For versions prior to 5.2.34, update to version 5.2.34 or later. For versions prior to 6.0.14, update to version 6.0.14 or later. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Core component until a patch is available.
