CVE-2019-2931

CVSS v3.1

6.1

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools versions 8.56 through 8.57
Description The issue is related to inadequate access control in the Portal component of Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools, allowing a remote attacker to modify, add, or delete data, or gain unauthorized access to protected information via the HTTP protocol. Successful attacks may significantly impact additional products and require human interaction from a person other than the attacker. The attacks can result in unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some accessible data, as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of accessible data.
Recommendations For versions 8.56 and 8.57, consider restricting access to the Portal component until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, limit the use of HTTP protocol for sensitive operations to minimize the risk of exploitation. Restrict access to sensitive data to prevent unauthorized updates, inserts, or deletes.
