CVE-2019-2889

CVSS v3.1

6.1

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Oracle WebLogic Server version 12.2.1.3.0
Description The issue is related to inadequate access control in the Sample apps component of Oracle WebLogic Server, part of Oracle Fusion Middleware. This allows an unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise the server. Successful attacks require human interaction from someone other than the attacker and may significantly impact additional products. The exploitation can result in unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some of the server's accessible data, as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of the server's accessible data.
Recommendations For Oracle WebLogic Server version 12.2.1.3.0, consider restricting access to the Sample apps component until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, limit the use of HTTP protocol for remote access to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
