Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) and Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) Software (affected versions not specified)
Description
A vulnerability in the Clientless SSL VPN (WebVPN) portal could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to conduct a cross-site scripting (XSS) attack against a user of the web-based management interface of an affected device. The issue is due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input by the web-based management interface. An attacker could exploit this by persuading a user to click a crafted link, potentially allowing the attacker to execute arbitrary script code in the context of the interface or access sensitive browser-based information.
