Description A Denial of Service issue is related to preemptive item deletion in the lmgrd and vendor daemon components. This allows a remote attacker to send a combination of messages to lmgrd or the vendor daemon, causing the heartbeat between lmgrd and the vendor daemon to stop, and the vendor daemon to shut down.

Recommendations For FlexNet Publisher versions 11.16.1.0 and earlier, consider restricting access to the lmgrd and vendor daemon components until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, disabling the preemptive item deletion feature in these components may help mitigate the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
