Description
The issue is related to two memory leaks in the
sja1105 static config upload() function, which can cause a denial of service due to memory consumption. This can be triggered by failures in static config buf prepare for upload() or sja1105 inhibit tx(). The vulnerability allows remote attackers to exploit the issue, leading to a denial of service.Recommendations
For Linux kernel versions prior to 5.3.5, update to version 5.3.5 or later to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the
sja1105 static config upload() function until a patch is available.Fix
