Description
The issue is related to a buffer overflow in the firmware of Intel(R) Ethernet 700 Series Controllers. This may allow an unauthenticated user, with adjacent access, to potentially enable an escalation of privilege. The vulnerability can be exploited by a remote attacker to gain elevated privileges.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 7.0, update the firmware to version 7.0 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the affected controllers to minimize the risk of exploitation.
