CVE-2019-19075

CVSS v2.0

7.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel versions prior to 5.3.8
Description A memory leak in the ca8210 probe() function allows attackers to cause a denial of service by triggering ca8210 get platform data() failures. This issue is related to uncontrolled resource consumption and can be exploited by a remote attacker to cause a service disruption.
Recommendations For Linux kernel versions prior to 5.3.8, update to version 5.3.8 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the ca8210 probe() function to minimize the risk of exploitation.
