CVE-2019-14216

CVSS v2.0

10

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions svg-vector-icon-plugin (aka WP SVG Icons) versions through 3.2.1
Description The issue concerns the mishandling of Custom Icon uploads in the svg-vector-icon-plugin, allowing for the upload of a ZIP archive containing a .php file due to insufficient authentication of executed requests. This can be exploited by a remote attacker to upload arbitrary ZIP archives. The vulnerability is related to a CSRF issue in the wp-admin/admin.php?page=wp-svg-icons-custom-set endpoint.
Recommendations For versions through 3.2.1, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the wp-admin/admin.php?page=wp-svg-icons-custom-set endpoint to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
