Description
The issue is related to a buffer overflow, where an operation exceeds the boundaries of a memory buffer. This can be exploited by a remote attacker to access confidential data, compromise data integrity, and cause a denial of service. The vulnerability is due to memory safety bugs, some of which have shown evidence of memory corruption. It is presumed that these bugs could be exploited to run arbitrary code with sufficient effort.
Recommendations
For Firefox versions prior to 69, update to version 69 or later.
