CVE-2019-2758

CVSS v2.0

7.5

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:N/I:P/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions MySQL Server versions 5.7.26 and prior MySQL Server versions 8.0.16 and prior
Description The issue is related to inadequate access control in the InnoDB component of the MySQL database management system. It can be exploited by a remote attacker using specially crafted network packets, potentially allowing them to modify data or cause a denial of service. Successful attacks can result in unauthorized access to update, insert, or delete some of the MySQL Server's accessible data, as well as cause the server to hang or crash repeatedly.
Recommendations For MySQL Server versions 5.7.26 and prior, update to a version later than 5.7.26 to resolve the issue. For MySQL Server versions 8.0.16 and prior, update to a version later than 8.0.16 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting network access to the MySQL Server to minimize the risk of exploitation.
