CVE-2019-13659

CVSS v3.1

4.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Google Chrome versions prior to 77.0.3865.75
Description The issue is related to incorrect access control to a critical resource in the Omnibox address bar of Google Chrome, potentially allowing a remote attacker to compromise data integrity using a specially crafted domain name. This is also related to IDN spoofing via IDN homographs, where an attacker could perform domain spoofing.
Recommendations For versions prior to 77.0.3865.75, update to version 77.0.3865.75 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to potentially vulnerable domains to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the Omnibox address bar with untrusted or specially crafted domain names until the issue is resolved.
