Description
The issue is related to an out of bounds memory access in PDFium, a component of Google Chrome, which can be exploited by a remote attacker using a crafted PDF file. This can potentially lead to heap corruption. The vulnerability is associated with a buffer overflow in memory, allowing an attacker to potentially gain unauthorized access to information, compromise its integrity, and affect its availability.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 78.0.3904.70, update to version 78.0.3904.70 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of PDFium or restricting access to crafted PDF files until the update is applied.
