CVE-2019-13708

CVSS v3.1

4.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Google Chrome versions prior to 78.0.3904.70
Description The issue is related to an inappropriate implementation in navigation, allowing a remote attacker to spoof the contents of the Omnibox (URL bar) via a crafted HTML page. This can enable an attacker to bypass HTTP authentication by substituting data and impact the system.
Recommendations For versions prior to 78.0.3904.70, update to version 78.0.3904.70 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to specially crafted HTML pages that could exploit this issue until a patch is applied. Avoid using the browser for sensitive operations that rely on HTTP authentication until the update is installed.
