CVE-2019-17342

CVSS v3.1

7.0

High

VectorAV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Xen versions prior to 4.12
Description The issue is related to a race condition in the XENMEM exchange component of the Xen hypervisor, which arose due to improper synchronization when accessing shared resources. This allows an attacker to potentially gain unauthorized access to confidential data, cause a denial of service, or impact data integrity. The issue affects x86 PV guest OS users.
Recommendations For versions prior to 4.12, update to version 4.12 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the XENMEM exchange component to minimize the risk of exploitation.
