Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
SPPA-T3000 Application Server versions prior to Service Pack R8.2 SP2
Description
A security issue has been identified where the RMI communication between the client and the Application Server is unencrypted, allowing an attacker with access to the communication channel to read credentials of a valid user. The attacker must have access to the Application Highway to exploit this issue. There are no known public exploitations of this security issue at the time of advisory publication.
Recommendations
For versions prior to Service Pack R8.2 SP2, update to Service Pack R8.2 SP2 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Application Highway to minimize the risk of exploitation.
