Description The issue is related to an out-of-bounds read in the MediaInfoLib::File Tags Helper::Synched Test function, located in Tag/File Tags.cpp. This can cause a crash when exploited. A remote attacker may be able to trigger a denial of service.

Recommendations For versions prior to 18.12, update to version 18.12 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the MediaInfoLib library until a patch is available.
