Description
The issue is related to errors in processing responses with malformed RRSIGs in the EDNS Client Subnet (ECS) feature of the BIND DNS server. This can be exploited by a remote attacker to cause a denial of service.
Recommendations
For versions 9.10.5-S1 through 9.11.6-S1, update to a version that includes the fix for the EDNS Client Subnet (ECS) feature to prevent the assertion failure when processing malformed RRSIGs.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
